Derek followed us for more than 10 seasons, and former players donated money to sponsor this division, to ensure that Derek is remembered for his love for Sunday League football

He is solely missed and always remembered by us all.

MensCraft has over 20 years’ experience in Norfolk and Waveney supporting men’s health and wellbeing. Our suicide prevention programme, parenting support and Pit Stop activity groups give men purpose, provide opportunities for connection and help improve their mental health. We promote constructive conversations about men, maleness, masculinity and raise awareness and cultivate support for likeminded services and organisations.

Some examples of the ways MensCraft supports men include:

Suicide prevention and reducing hopelessness in men via The Contact Service. Our team of highly trained and experienced coordinators cover multiple locations across Norfolk and Waveney offering non-judgmental and confidential support. The number of referrals received is increasing all the time due to demand for mental health services and the waiting times for community provision. The team work to identify the needs of men and the strength of their suicidal feelings. Support plans and goals are collaborated on, and men are offered a dedicated number of hours of contact time, via face-to-face, telephone or online to discuss progress against these. These men are often signposted to other programmes and activities which MensCraft deliver.

The Pit Stop programme offers men the opportunity to interact with others through activity and social connection. We have a range of Pit Stop socials and activity groups across Norfolk and Waveney. In addition to weekly social groups, we offered activities including visual and creative arts, music, board games, history walks, fishing, yoga, stand-up comedy, gardening/allotments, music appreciation, pie clubs and storytelling. 

Our DadsOnside programme aims to improve outcomes for children by engaging men in child-centred parenting and maintaining positive family relationships post-separation.

Waypoint,  recently launched in Great Yarmouth, provides groups, activities and mentoring support to younger men, aged 18-25.
